Having access to laser cutting and discovering a way to mix plexiglass with steel, this way I was able to create a much more open design. I started with the hood. First a paper form, then the separate pieces that turned into the lamp hood at the end of the design process, from there on I wanted to have the feeling of a floating lamp that moves around its own base.
